Brief Biography:
Dr. Robert Sheehy has been a lecturer in the School of Science and Computing
in the Institute of Technology Tralee (ITT) since 1995, during which time he
has supervised projects up to Ph.D. level. His was brought in to ITT
primarily for his Mathematics background but has more recently has been
taking a leading role in the development and running of the Computing with
Games Development degrees at ITT. As a result of this involvement, his
current interests include Computer Graphics, Games Middleware (Physics),
Mathematical modelling and simulation. He is currently involved in the
supervision of 3 M.Sc. by research students who are researching applications
of Artificial Neural Networks. He completed his Ph.D. at UCC in Mathematics
in 1995, M.Sc. in Mathematics (UCC) in 1992 and his B.Sc. (Joint Honours) in
Mathematics and Computer Science in 1991.
