Dr. Flannagán Noonan is a Business Development Engineer within IMaR. Since he joined IMaR in 2014 has worked as a researcher on a variety of projects using sensors and software development for product and services innovation and development. He also lectures in maths, statistics, programming and electronics in MTU for apprenticeship and Springboard engineering courses.

Flannagán obtained an Honours Bachelor Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from University College London in 1992, and a HETEC Level 8 Higher Diploma in Science in Computing in 2014 from Dublin Business School. He completed his PhD from MTU in 2022, where he investigatied about “The Optimisation of Patient Throughput and Bed Management in Hospitals”, in partnership with a local private hospital.

He likes cats, movies, computer games, Science Fiction and DIY when it goes according to plan (so never then!). He is not so fond of housework, dogs, cars parked Illegally on the footpath (he’s living in the wrong town!).
